Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n Land ice is one of the main targets for the Harmony mission. We give an overview over the science associated with land ice that becomes possible through Harmony and its scientific and applied significance. We cover among other topics multi-year glacier elevation changes, sub-seasonal glacier elevation changes and simultaneously measured lateral ice velocities, three-dimensional velocities, permafrost ground motion and elevation change, and glacier- and permafrost-related hazards.
